Isabella Ivy (Soprano) recently made her debut as a Resident artist at Opera San Jose this year in the role of Gilda (Rigoletto). She recently performed the role of Elvira (L’italiana in Algeri), and the role of Lillia Herriton in the world premiere of Where Angels Fear to Tread by Mark Weiser. She will be performing her role debut as the Königin der Nacht (Die Zauberflöte) in April. She has also been seen as Zerbinetta (Ariadne auf Naxos), Adina (L’elisir d’amore), Madame Herz (Der Schauspieldirektor), Laetitia (The Old Maid and the Thief) as well as many others. Miss Ivy was a semi-finalist at the first NATS National Student Audtitions, and won 3rd place at the Metropolitan Opera competition in the Colorado/ Wyoming region in 2013. She recently graduated from the UNLV honors college with a Bachelors degree in Music Performance cum laude. She is also active in other areas of the theatre, and has been involved in several backstage aspects such as costuming, stage management, prop making, and stage design.
